BizTalk Adapter for DB2 does not honor the "DB2 SET Registers" commands specified in a receive location in Host Integration Server 2013

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Host Integration Server 2013:

  • You have a receive location that is configured to use the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for DB2.
  • You configure the BizTalk Adapter for DB2 to include specific DB2 SET statements (for example, SET CURRENT PATH 'TESTLIB') in the DB2 SET Registers property.

In this scenario, the DB2 SET commands are not passed to the remote IBM DB2 database server.

Cause

The BizTalk Adapter for DB2 did not support passing DB2 SET commands when these commands were used with a receive location. The DB2 SET Registers feature was originally added to the BizTalk Adapter for DB2 for a specific scenario that occurs when the DB2 Adapter is used with a Solicit-Response send port.

Resolution

Install Cumulative 2 Update (CU2) for Microsoft Host Integration Server 2013. When CU2 is installed, DB2 SET statement support is implemented for the receive ports.

Cumulative update information

The fix that resolves this problem is included in Cumulative Update 2 for Microsoft Host Integration Server 2013.

The binary that is affected is Microsoft.HostIntegration.Adapters.MsDb2.Runtime.dll.
