"500 Internal Server Error" occurs when you link an Azure VM in create new vNext: Azure environment flow

Symptoms

When you use Release Management 2013 Update 3 to link an Azure virtual machine to create the New vNext: Azure environment, you receive the following error message: 
The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error

Workaround

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Search for the Server under Configure Apps > Server tab and delete it (Server name is in this format: "<Environment Name>::<Azure VM name>").
  2. Try to add the Azure VM from the Environments tab again by clicking Link Azure Servers.
