Consider the following scenario:
In some cases, one or two of the DisplayPort monitors that are still connected may go blank. If you open the Screen Resolution control panel, you see that they are disabled.
- You have a system that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
- You have a graphics card that supports four outputs (two DisplayPort and two DVI).
- You have monitors attached to all four ports.
- You unplug one of the DVI-attached monitors while the system is running.
