Consider the following scenario:
In this scenario, deleting a file does not affect the File Server Resource Manager quota.
Note When a file is deleted, the quota should also be decremented.
- You install File Server Resource Manager on a file server that's running Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2).
- You create a folder and set a quota on it.
- You create some files in the folder and then share the folder.
- From a Windows client, you access the shared folder by using the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol, and then you delete all files through Windows Explorer.
In this scenario, deleting a file does not affect the File Server Resource Manager quota.
Note When a file is deleted, the quota should also be decremented.
