Password field is displayed as blank even though it is populated on a HTTPS website in Internet Explorer 11

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You access a HTTPS website in Internet Explorer 11.
  • You select the User names and passwords on forms option in the AutoComplete Settings under the Content tab in Internet Options.
  • There are two password fields present in a form on this website.
  • You try to populate both password fields. 
In this scenario, the second password field is displayed as blank even though it is populated.

Note This issue occurs only if the password fields are preceded by at least one other form field.
