Hidden file upload field is not displayed when you try to show the field in Internet Explorer 11 or Internet Explorer 10

Symptoms

Assume that the file upload field in a webpage is hidden, and the webpage was designed in Internet Explorer 5 quirks mode. You try to click an element on the webpage to show the file upload field. In this situation, the issue occurs. Additionally, after you click the element, the file upload field is displayed unexpectedly when you move mouse down.

Note You expect that the hidden file upload field is displayed when you click the element without moving mouse.

Resolution

Update information

To resolve this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update.
