Symptoms

In Exchange 2000 Server in a clustered environment, when you attempt to create a virtual server or message transfer agent (MTA) resource by using the Cluster Administrator program, you may receive the following error message:
Object not found.

Cause

This problem can occur if the Cluster Administrator program is attempting to communicate with domain controllers that do not have replicas of the necessary dependent objects.
