Incorrect version of StreamInsight installs from the SQL Server 2014 installation media

Symptoms

After you install Microsoft StreamInsight from the Microsoft SQL Server 2014 installation media, you find that the wrong version of StreamInsight (StreamInsight.msi and StreamInsightClient.msi) is located in the following path:
StreamInsight\<Architecture>\<Language ID>

Resolution

The correct version of StreamInsight 2.3 is included in the Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Feature Pack. To obtain the correct program version, follow these steps:
  1. Browse to the download page of the SQL Server 2014 Feature Pack.
  2. Click Download.
  3. Select the following items, as appropriate, and then click Next:
    • ENU\x64\StreamInsight.msi
    • ENU\x64\StreamInsightClient.msi
    • ENU\x86\StreamInsight.msi
    • ENU\x86\StreamInsightClient.msi
