To enable logging of POP3 and IMAP4 protocols in Exchange 2000:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Click to expand the Servers object, right-click your Exchange 2000 computer, and then click Properties.
  3. Click the Diagnostic Logging tab, and then click either IMAP4Svc or POP3Svc in the Services section.
  4. In the Categories section, click the category that you want to track, and then set the logging level (for example, Minimum, Medium, or Maximum) in the Logging Level section.
  5. Click OK.
