The Microsoft Dynamics CRM team is releasing a fix for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 with Update Rollup 2 for daylight saving time (DST) changes that are occurring in Egypt.

The following changes are included in this fix.

Egypt

  • The government of Egypt has announced that it will observe DST in 2014, and has released its DST Transitions for Ramadan.

According to this announcement, Egypt will begin its DST observation on May 15, 2014 at 23:59:59. The DST period will be interrupted during the Muslim month of Ramadan (June 28, 2014 at midnight through July 27, 2014 at midnight, in the Gregorian calendar).

During this time, clocks will be turned back to standard time. This interruption in the DST schedule is designed to shorten the evening hours, making it easier for Muslims to observe the Ramadan fast during hours of daylight.
