Symptoms

Assume that you download a file on a page in Internet Explorer 11 or Internet Explorer 10. Then you click a back button or an in-page button to go back to the previous page. However, the page goes back to an incorrect page.

To resolve this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update.
