Panoramic video is corrupted for Lync calls in Windows 8.1

Symptoms

Assume that you apply update 2919355 on a Windows 8.1-based computer. You make a Microsoft Lync video conference call by using a Microsoft RoundTable device, Polycom CX5000, or a Polycom CX5000 HD Unified Conference Station. In this situation, Lync displays a distorted panoramic video.

To resolve this issue, install the hotfix that is described in this article.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
