Cause

This is by design. The update adds a new, higher dots-per-inch (DPI) setting of 250 percent for Ultra High Definition screens. This changes the settings options from four to five different DPI levels. Depending on your settings, the DPI settings may be set one level higher after the update than they were previously.

Resolution

If you would like to change the size of icons and other desktop items, follow these steps:
  1. Swipe in from the right to bring up the charms, and then select the Search charm.
  2. Search for display, and tap or click the arrow on the right next to Everywhere, and then tap or click Settings. In the search results, tap or click Display.
If you do not see Display in the search results, try searching for make text, and in the Settings results tap or click Make text items larger or smaller.
  3. In the Change the size of all items window, move the bar to the left one notch to return your item size to the previous setting. You may need to uncheck Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays to see the bar.
