The April 2014 release of the Windows SDK is incompatible with Visual Studio 2013 RTM or Update 1 version for graphics debugging

The April 2014 Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) enables the Visual Studio Graphics Debugging and Graphics Frame Analysis features for both Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1. However, Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 RTM or Update 1 version is incompatible with this Windows SDK, these features require Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 or the later Update.

Symptoms

Assume that you have the April 2014 or the later Windows SDK installed on your computer. When you use graphics debugging features in Visual Studio 2013 or Visual Studio 2013 Update 1, you may encounter undefined behavior.

This issue occurs because these features require Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 or the later Update.
