Update adds a button to show details about limited functionalities when Lync 2013 connects to a backup pool

Introduction

This article describes an update for Microsoft Lync 2013 that enables you to be aware of the limited functionalities.

Assume that you sign in to a Lync 2013 client. Then, the client connects to a backup pool. In this situation, you may experience the following situations:
  • If you are working in resiliency mode, a yellow warning bar will be displayed in the client.
  • If you are not working in resiliency mode, Lync 2013 will sign out, and then sign in again. Then, a yellow warning bar and a warning window that describes the limited functionalities in resiliency mode will appear in Lync 2013.
After you apply this update, the More button will appear in the yellow warning bar. If you click the button, a dialog box that describes the limited functionalities will appear.
