BranchCache service does not work for Internet Explorer 10 or Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 7

Symptoms

Assume that you use Internet Explorer 11 or Internet Explorer 10 on a Windows 7-based computer in an environment that uses the BranchCache service. In this scenario, you cannot use the BranchCache service.

Cause

This issue occurs because Windows 7 performs an incorrect licensing check. Therefore, no BranchCache modules are loaded in Internet Explorer.

Update information

To resolve this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update.
