Application and desktop sharing features are missing when Lync Web App runs on Internet Explorer 11 or Firefox

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a meeting in a Microsoft Lync Server 2010 environment.
  • You install an October 2013 cumulative update for Lync Server 2010, Web Components server in the environment.
  • A user joins the meeting by using Lync Web App in Internet Explorer 11 or Firefox in Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. 
  • The user clicks the Share list in Lync Web App.
In this scenario, the Desktop option and the Program option are not displayed in the Share list.

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:
