FIX: MRU option value is wrong when a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device sends LCP packet to the PPP server

Symptoms

Assume that you have a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device that negotiates to connect to a PPP server by using Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP). The device sends LCP (Link Control Protocol) packet together with MRU (Maxmum Receive Unit) option equals to 65534 that is an incorrect value.

Note There are two expected values when the device sends LCP packet of MRU option:
  • When you have a straight PPP connection, the MRU is 1492.
  • When you have a VPN connection, the MRU is 1392.

  • On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.

This update does not replace any other updates.
