Consider the following scenario in Accounts Payable in Microsoft Dynamics SL:
When you do this, you notice that the system does not calculate a realized gain or loss. If the prepayment is paid by using a hand check, a realized gain or loss is calculated.
- You open Quick Voucher and Pre-Payment Entry (03.020.00), and you enter a prepayment in a foreign currency.
- You open Edit/Select Documents for Payment (03.050.00), you select a different foreign currency than the currency of the Pre-Payment, and then you select the Pre-Payment.
- You open Checks (03.620.00), and you print a check for this prepayment.
When you do this, you notice that the system does not calculate a realized gain or loss. If the prepayment is paid by using a hand check, a realized gain or loss is calculated.
