Wi-Fi Direct (WFD) app cannot access WFD in Windows 8.1

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a Windows 8.1 system installed with a Wi-Fi Direct (WFD) app.
  • You installed a new app that declares USB, HID or Bluetooth capabilities.
  • You use the WFD app to try to access WFD.
In this scenario, the WFD app cannot access the WFD.

Resolution
