Symptoms

When you view a page that contains a Table of Contents Web component, links to Web pages that are stored in the _private folder may be displayed.

You expect Web pages stored in the _private folder to be hidden from public view.

Cause

This behavior can occur if all of the following conditions are true:
1.You insert a Table of Contents Web component and then select Based on Page Category.

-and-
2.In the Categories Properties dialog box, you configure the Web component to list files by a specific category.

-and-
3.You assign that same category to a Web page that is stored in the _private folder.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, do not assign a category property to pages in your _private folder.

Additionally, follow these steps to remove the category properties from pages in the _private folder that the Table of Contents component displays:
1.Start FrontPage 2002, and then open the affected Web site.
2.In the Folder List pane, select the _private folder.
3.Right-click a page that is displayed in the contents, and then click Properties on the pop-up menu that appears.
4.When the Properties dialog box appears, click the Workgroup tab.
5.In the Available categories list, click to clear the check boxes of those categories from which you want the page removed, and then click OK.
