An RTL caret overlaps characters on some websites in Internet Explorer 11

Symptoms

When you add some text in a right to left (RTL) language in a text box on some websites, Internet Explorer 11 displays a different style of carets in the editing text. In this situation, the RTL caret is displayed in an incorrect position and may overlap characters. Additionally, it is difficult to determine the text insertion point.

Update information

To resolve this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update.
