How to install the update

To install the update for Lync Room System, use the following method:
Online update
To install an update on LRS with Internet access, follow these steps:
  1. Log on to LRS in administrator mode by using administrator credentials. To restart LRS in administrator mode, follow these steps:
    1. Select Options in meeting mode at the pre-meeting screen.
    2. Select Settings to display a prompt for credentials.
    3. Enter administrator credentials in the prompt to restart LRS in administrator mode.
    4. At the Windows logon screen, enter administrator credentials to display the LRS Admin Console.
  2. Click the Web Updates tab.
  3. Under Microsoft updates, select Download from Microsoft Update server.
  4. Under OEM updates, select Download from OEM server.
  5. Under Update frequency, select the Automatic updates check box to update automatically during the daily maintenance time.
  6. Click Apply and Restart to save your changes.
    Note If you change any settings and want to apply updates manually, follow these steps:
    1. Click Apply & Restart.
    2. Restart LRS and then log on to LRS in administrator mode by using administrator credentials.
    3. Click the Web Updates tab again.
    4. Select Check Updates and Install.
    5. Click OK to restart LRS when you are prompted.

Prerequisites

To install this update, you must have Lync 2013 installed.

Restart requirement

You must restart the Lync Room System device after you install this update.

Hotfix replacement information

This update does not replace a previously released update.
