Number of voucher transactions is incorrect after posting a general journal in the India version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

This article applies to Microsoft Dynamics AX for the India (Hindi) region.

Symptoms

The change introduced standard application for LOI accounting behavior, regardless of tax codes it will hit the single ledger account (load on inventory amount) where as India behavior is that we will record load on inventory amount per tax code. This change is for journals only. For example, LOI behavior is changed with sys fix.
  • Tax code1 – 10% LOI
  • Tax code2 – 10% LOI
Tax calculated for tax code1 is 100.00 and tax code2 is 50.00 in a single transaction, instead of accounting LOI amounts per tax code, the LOI amount totals up and the total 15.00 will post to the LOI account. With this change, India cases started failing because for India we are accounting LOI amount per tax code, 10.00 and 5.00 will account separately.

Resolution

The hotfix will restore the earlier LOI behavior for India.

You must have the India version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 installed to apply this hotfix.

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
