Symptoms

The following warning message may be logged in the Application event log of an Exchange 2000 Server computer, and users may not be able to log on unless you restart the server:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MSExchangeIS
Event ID: 1233
Description: An error occurred. Function name or description of problem: FindOrCreateTokenContextEx Error: 0x80040934, 0xc69

Resolution

To resolve this issue:
  1. Start the Active Directory Users And Computers snap-in.
  2. Enable Advanced features; click Advanced Features on the View menu.
  3. Right-click the name of the domain, and then click Properties.
  4. Click the Security tab, and then click Advanced.
  5. Click Add to add a user.
  6. Click the Exchange Domain Servers group.
  7. In the Permission Entry for domain_name dialog box, click the Properties tab.
  8. In the Apply Onto list, click User Objects.
  9. In the Permissions list, click Allow under Read tokenGroupsGlobalAndUniversal.
  10. Click OK three times to close each of the dialog boxes.
  11. Restart the server.
