Smooth Streaming Client SDK for Windows Does Not Transmit Cookies

Symptoms

You are using a website that requires and uses authentication where a session cookie be transmitted for every HTTP request. While attempting to play a Smooth Streaming video with Silverlight, the video does not play.

Cause

The Smooth Streaming Client SDK does not fully support transmitting cookies.

Resolution

You will have to use a different method for authentication that does not require cookies. 

Some alternatives may include:
1. Use authentication that does not require cookies for every request where streaming media content is required for streaming.
2. Use PlayReady encryption to protect the stream.
3. Determine if you can use a query string on the URL itself that handles the authentication/authorization
