How to obtain this update
To obtain this update if you are running Windows SBS 2011 Standard, use one of the following methods:
- By default, Microsoft Update points to the WSUS service in Windows SBS 2011 Standard. This update is displayed on the Update tab of the Admin Console. After you deploy this update, it is displayed as available for installation in Microsoft Update.
- In Windows SBS 2011 Standard, this update can also be installed directly by using Microsoft Update. To do this, start Windows Update and select the Check online for updates from Windows Update option. Then, click the Get updates for other Microsoft products option, and complete the process to opt in to Microsoft Updates. Then, click Check for updates in Microsoft Update to obtain the update.
To obtain this update if you are running Windows SBS 2011 Essentials, Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials, or Windows Multipoint Server 2011, follow these steps:
- In Windows Update, click Click here for details next to Find out more about free software from Microsoft Update, and then follow the steps to obtain updates from Microsoft Update. If you have already opted in to Microsoft Updates, you can safely ignore this step.
- In Windows Update, click Check for updates.
Prerequisites
To apply this update, you must be running one of the following operating systems:
- Windows SBS 2011 Standard
- Windows SBS 2011 Essentials
- Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials
- Windows Multipoint Server 2011 Standard
- Windows Multipoint Server 2011 Premium
Additionally, you must have Windows Server Solutions BPA 1.0 installed.

Issue 1
When one of the following well-known ports that is used by Windows SBS 2011 Essentials is grabbed by a service other than the services that are mentioned in the following table, an error message is flagged in Windows Server Solutions BPA:

Issue 2
When you run Windows Server Solutions BPA on a Windows SBS 2011 Essentials-based server that is running in a virtual local area network (VLAN) environment, the status of rule 4
Check-DNSAforInternal is enabled unexpectedly, even though the server host record (A record) in the Domain Name System (DNS) forward lookup zones is the same as the IPv4 address on the Windows SBS 2011 Essentials-based server.
Issue 3
Assume that Windows Server Solutions BPA is run by using a scheduled task. During the scan, the computer is restarted or shut down. When you start the computer and the scheduled task tries to run Windows Server Solutions BPA again, the scanning task fails.

Issue 4
On a computer that is running Windows SBS 2011 Standard, Windows Server Solutions BPA cannot report the latest Service Pack of Microsoft Exchange 2010.
Issue 5
After you install Update Rollup 4 for Windows Server Solutions BPA 1.0, Windows Server Solutions BPA cannot report the latest Update Rollup of Windows SBS 2011 Standard.
