XADM: A Full Backup Is Required After You Restore an Exchange 2000 Database

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

After you restore an Exchange 2000 database, you must perform a full backup of that database before an incremental backup can be performed. If you do not perform a full backup on that database before an incremental backup is performed, the incremental backup may cause data loss because of a limitation in the database storage engine.
