This article describes an update that helps you manage and control your Windows Internet Explorer 11 home page settings.

This update contains the following improvements:

Helps you maintain control over your Internet Explorer 11 home page. After you install this update, you are prompted about any external requests to change the home page. For example:
- When unknown software that is external to Internet Explorer tries to change the home page, you are prompted by a notification bar.
- User-initiated changes to the Internet Explorer home page settings are recognized as trusted changes.
Provides an API for third-party software vendors to reset the Internet Explorer home page selection after such a change has been confirmed by the user.
