Summary

This article describes how to view the pages that represent the shared borders pages in your web.

Procedure

To view the shared borders pages, display the _Borders folder. To do this, follow these steps:
1.Open the Web in FrontPage.
2.On the Tools menu, click Web Settings.
3.Click the Advanced tab.
4.Select the Show Hidden Files option.
5.Click Apply.
6.When you receive a prompt asking if you want to refresh the web, click Yes.
7.Click OK.
The shared borders pages are stored in four files in the _Borders folder in your web:
The Top.htm file is for the top shared border.
The Left.htm is for the left shared border.
The Right.htm is for the right shared border.
The Bottom.htm is for the bottom shared border.
Warning: Only information displayed in between the <Body> and </Body> tags are displayed in the border. The preferred method for viewing and editing a shared border page is to include it in a page. To do this, follow these steps:
1.Open a page in Normal View.
2.Right-click the page, and then click Shared Border on the menu that appears.
3.Check the border you want to see and then click OK.
4.Add the content you want and save the page.
