Introduction

A platform hotfix is available for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2. The build number of this platform hotfix is 35915.

Platform hotfixes are cumulative, which means that the latest hotfix includes all previously released hotfixes. Therefore, you should always install the latest update rollup.


Note You may have to compile the objects in your database after you apply this hotfix.

This hotfix resolves the following problems:

353363 "You do not have the following permission on Table <Table Name>: Execute" error message when you run a page for a table that has a table relation to a table that you are not licensed for.
353931 You cannot change Web service culture.
353935 Client add-in stops after you run the notes or links actions.
354371 You cannot add a ListPart back to a list or worksheet page after you remove the part from the page.
354514 Excel worksheet is blank after you run Export to Excel when the Excel add-in is already open.
355128 You cannot use P for period in filters. For example, the filter P1..P5 does not work.
355245 "Did not expect a '(' " error message when you scroll in a list page that has a FlowField of type Exist.
355289 "The following SQL error was unexpected. Invalid column name <column name>" error message when you log on to the Windows client after you have added a field to the Company table (2000000006).
355413 Email Messages are deleted instead of being moved to the storage folder when you have Email Logging set up.
355446 System.InvalidOperationException error when you run the Remove-NAVServerSession PowerShell cmdlet.
355492 You incorrectly receive the following error message when you start the Windows client and the client and server versions do not match: "'Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Runtime.NavTextConstant' does not contain a constructor that takes 5 arguments". Instead, you should receive this error message: "The client version does not match the server version. You can only connect to a server with a matching version."
355529 Some pages are no longer editable after you install Update Rollup 2.
355571 You cannot remove a field from the Choose column when the Visible property for the field is controlled from code.
355591 Dates in reports have a "d" at the end for some regional settings.

How to obtain the Microsoft Dynamics NAV hotfix or update files

After you request a Microsoft Dynamics NAV hotfix, a hyperlink will be sent to you in an e-mail.


The e-mail will contain a hyperlink. You can use the hyperlink to download the Microsoft Dynamics NAV hotfix or the update files. When you click the hyperlink, the File Download – Security Warning dialog box opens. Then, you are prompted to run, to save, or to cancel the download.


If you click Run, the files start the download and the extraction process. You must specify a folder for the new files, and then provide the password.


If you click Save, you must specify a path for saving the compressed file. When you open the file that you saved, you are prompted to specify a path for the files.

If you click Cancel, the download process stops.


How to install a Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform hotfix

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform hotfixes are made available as single files. To install a Microsoft Dynamics NAV hotfix, you must replace the existing Microsoft Dynamics NAV installation files with the hotfix files. To do this, follow these steps.

Step 1: Replace the files in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server installation

In the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server installation, replace the files by using the hotfix files.

To replace the existing Microsoft Dynamics NAV files, follow these steps:
  1. Stop the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server service.
  2. Copy the files in the NST folder from the files that you downloaded.
  3. Paste the files into the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server installation directory. The Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server is usually installed in the following directory:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\71\Service
  4. Click Yes to overwrite the files in the directory.
  5. Start the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server service.

Step 2: Replace the files in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV RoleTailored (Windows) client installation

In the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Windows client installation, replace the files by using the hotfix files.

  1. Close the Microsoft Dynamics NAV RoleTailored client.
  2. Copy the files in the RTC folder from the files that you downloaded.
  3. Paste the files into the Microsoft Dynamics NAV RoleTailored client installation directory. The Microsoft Dynamics NAV RoleTailored client is usually installed in the following directory:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\71\RoleTailored Client
  4. Click Yes to overwrite the files in the directory.

Note These steps must be followed for each Microsoft Dynamics NAV RoleTailored (Windows) client.

To replace these files, follow these steps:
  1. Close the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client.
  2. Copy the files in the WEB CLIENT folder from the files that you downloaded.
  3. Paste the files into the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client installation directory. The Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client is usually installed in the following directory:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\71\Web Client
  4. Click Yes to overwrite the files in the directory.
