Symptoms

When you rest the mouse pointer over a Select box in Internet Explorer 10, the Select box may shift downward.

Note This problem occurs only in IE5 Quirks mode and IE7 Standards mode both in Windows 7 and in Windows 8.

Cause

This problem occurs when a dynamic change occurs in the DIV element that causes the CLayout descent to increase. This change causes the DIV element to shift downward.

Update information

To resolve this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update.
