You cannot receive OpenGL acceleration from a secondary display

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You are running a Windows 7-based or Windows 8-based computer.
  • The computer has two displays that use different video cards, and the secondary display has better performance.
  • You start an OpenGL application on the secondary display.
In this scenario, you receive the primary display's Open GL hardware acceleration. However, you cannot receive the secondary display's Open GL hardware acceleration.

Workaround

To work around this issue, set the display that has better performance as your primary display.
