Make sure that the currently logged-on account has
Allow Access set for the
Default Access Permissions setting on the
Default Security tab in the DCOM access permissions settings by using the Distributed COM Configuration Properties (Dcomcnfg.exe) tool. By default, there are no entries in the
Default Access Permissions settings. This setting is the equivalent of the
Allow Access setting for all users.
The error message is generated if an entry has been added to this list, either by a user or by another program's Setup routine, and the currently logged on user who is trying to gain access to the ISA Server filter's properties is not listed (either directly or as a member of a group that includes the user).
To view or change these permissions, follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type dcomcnfg.exe, and press ENTER.
- Click the Default Security tab.
- Click Edit Default under Default Access Permissions to view or change the current permission settings.
