Summary

This article describes how to make the results from the Stock Quote Web Component open in a new window.

If you set the default target frame for the page to New Window, the target frame of the Stock Quote Web Component will not change. By default, the stock quote will be displayed in the same window. If you want the results from the Stock Quote Web Component to open in a new window, you must change the target frame for that form.

Change the Target Frame for the Stock Quote Web Component

To change the target frame for the Stock Quote Web Component, follow these steps:
1.Open a new Web in FrontPage.
2.On a blank page, insert the Stock Quote Web Component. To do this, follow these steps:

a. On the Insert menu, point to Web Component.
b. In the Insert Web Component dialog box, click MSN Components under Component type.
c. Under Choose a MSN component, click Stock Quote, and then click Finish.
3.On your page, right-click the form, and then click Form Properties.
4.In the Form Properties dialog box, click the pencil to the right of the Target frame box, and then click New Window under Common targets. Click OK twice.
