This article describes that a cumulative hotfix is available for the previously released integration of POS with the Russian fiscal printer family, Shtrih-M, in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2.

A cumulative hotfix is available for the previously released integration of POS with the Russian fiscal printer family, Shtrih-M, in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2. This is a hotfix to the integration functionality that is released update 2873733.

The following issues are addressed by this hotfix:
  • Maximum length of line to be printed is hardcoded. If a longer line is sent to a fiscal printer, an error message pops up and the printing is canceled. Instead, the max length value that is specified in the Config file should be used to determine the string length and wrap it up, if it is necessary. If the max length is not specified, it must be determined from the printer driver.
  • If both positive (sales) and negative (return) lines are added to a POS transaction, incorrect quantities and amounts are printed in the fiscal receipt, because a fiscal printer cannot process a transaction with mixed sales and returns. POS should restrict creating transactions with mixed sales and returns if the Russian fiscal printer is enabled.
  • If a return transaction is created in POS through the Return product operation, a sales receipt is printed by a fiscal printer for this transaction instead of a return receipt. A return receipt should be printed.
  • If the Electronic Storage Controlling Tape (ESCT) is not installed in a fiscal printer, a POS error is generated when you try to start POS with the fiscal printer connected. It should be possible to start and use POS with a fiscal printer that does not have ESCT installed.
  • If a rounding rule is set up for a store payment method, and the payment method is used for a final payment for a sales transaction in POS, the payment amount is rounded according to the rule and the transaction is considered as fully paid. However, the un-rounded amount is printed in a fiscal receipt. It leads to a difference between the fiscal memory (and Z-report) and accounting data in POS and Microsoft Dynamics AX. The rounding amount should be printed as a special type of discount in a fiscal receipt, reducing the total receipt amount.
