Assume that you install a Windows operating system virtual machine on a Hyper-V host that runs 64-bit Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012. You have an application that runs on the virtual machine, and this application performs a memory read or write operation that touches the MMIO (Memory Mapped Input Output) region. The operation crosses the page boundary. In this situation, the virtual machine crashes.
