Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • On a Windows 8-based computer, you enable Enhanced Protected Mode (EPM).
  • You enable folder redirection for the Favorites folder.
  • You browse to a website that was added to the security zone. 
  • You enable the Favorites bar.
  • You try to add the website directly to the Favorites bar. 
In this scenario, the attempt is unsuccessful.

To resolve this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to the following Microsoft website:
