Consider the following scenario in Work Order in Microsoft Dynamics SL:
When you do this, you notice that Inventory Status Inquiry (10.220.00) shows the amount from the child work or in On Released Work Orders. That should have been relieved when the production was completed on the child work order.
- You open Work Order Entry (12.250.00) and enter and release a work order.
- You open Work Order Entry (12.250.00) and enter a work order. In the Build to Work Order, you enter the previous work order number to create a child work order for the first work order.
- You open Work Order Material Issue (12.400.00) and issue the material for the child work order.
- You open Work Order Project Completion (12.402.00), select the child work order, and perform the Production Completion. This transfers the quantity and cost completed from the child work order to the parent work order.
