A country-specific update is available to define the return period for each location separately in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 with the India localization layer installed

Assume that central sales tax (CST) or value-added tax (VAT) is posted in the India version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2. When goods is return after a specified period, tax reversal is not allowed and tax is recorded under expense account.

After you install this hotfix, you are provided an option to define the return period for each location separately. Additionally, system can track and post tax automatically in an expense account if the return period is more than a specified period.
