Introduction

This article describes an update for versions of Windows 8.1 Preview that were upgraded from Windows 8 through the Windows App Store or from the ISO image that is provided on Microsoft websites.

This update resolves an issue in which the wrong version of Windows 8.1 is installed when you upgrade Windows 8.1 Preview to Windows 8.1. After you install this update, the correct version of Windows 8.1 is installed when you upgrade from Windows 8.1 Preview.
