INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • A user could access Information Rights Management (IRM) protected content in Word 2013 in some cases.
  • Assume that you insert an app for Office in a Word 2013 document, and you active it. When you type inside the document by using a Japanese (or other languages) Input Method Editor (IME), a bar that is used to display the equivalent character set appears and then disappears immediately. Therefore, you cannot select the correct character.
  • When you try to update a table of contents (TOC) in a Word document that contains a Reference Document (RD) field in Word 2013, the page numbers in the TOC may become incorrect.
  • Word 2013 has slower performance than Word 2010 when iterating through a table by using macros.
  • Assume that you insert a table that contains an IF field in a Word document, and then you save the document as a webpage. Word may stop responding when you open the webpage.
  • The following issues occur when you try to change the settings in the Advanced panel in Word Options in a Word 2013 document:
    • The Don't center "exact line height" lines option is not available.
    • When you clear the check box for Use line-breaking rules option, and then click to save the changes, the option is not disabled.

    After you apply this update, the Don't center "exact line height" lines option is available in the Layout Options for section. Because line breaking rules are always used in Word 2013 documents, the Use line-breaking rules option is removed from the Layout Options for section.
  • Assume that you have a Word document that contains right-to-left text embedding or override characters. You may be unable to save the document. Additionally, when you run the ActiveDocument.TransformDocument method, you may receive the "Run-time error '5254'" error message.
