INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you drag an email message from Outlook 2013 to a local folder on the computer, and then you save it as an .msg file. When you drag the .msg file back to a folder in Outlook, the message class of the new email message is changed to IPM.Document.Outlook.File.msg.15.
  • Assume that you configure an IMAP account in Outlook 2013. Outlook may crash while synchronizing the Inbox with the e-mail server.
  • When you use the ViewFields.Remove method to remove a field from a folder in Outlook 2013, a wrong field may be removed.

  • Assume that you open an email message from the Inbox folder, and then you maximize it. The message list does not appear correctly when you delete the email message by using the Delete button on the ribbon.
  • Assume that you have a feed that contains many items, and you move or delete an item from the feed. Every time that you start Outlook, the item is downloaded again.
  • Assume that you configure an IMAP email account and an Outlook.com or Hotmail email account in the same profile in Outlook 2013. In this situation, Outlook may stop responding.
  • Assume that you configure Outlook 2013 to connect to your mailbox by using the Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) over HTTP protocol. In this situation, Outlook may crash.
  • After you install the June 2013 cumulative update for Outlook 2013, Outlook may crash when synchronizing with your Outlook.com or Hotmail calendar.
  • Consider the following scenarios:

    Scenario 1
    • You create a retention policy tag, and then you select the Disable this tag option.
    • You apply the retention policy tag to a new retention policy.
    • You assign the retention policy to user A’s mailbox.
    • You share user A’s mailbox with user B with full permissions.
    • User B configures Outlook to open his mailbox in Cached Exchange Mode.
    • User B adds User A’s mailbox as an additional mailbox.
    • User B tries to delete an item from user A’s Inbox.
In this scenario, the item is not deleted, and user B does not receive an error message.

    Scenario 2
    • You apply a retention policy tag that has no end date to a new retention policy.
    • You assign the retention policy to user A’s mailbox.
    • User A configures Outlook to open his mailbox in Cached Exchange Mode.
    • User A tries to delete an item from user A’s mailbox.
In this scenario, the item is not deleted. Additionally, user A may receive an error message that resembles any of the following:
    The item cannot be moved.

It was either already moved or deleted, or access was denied. Unknown Error.

    The client operation failed.
