More information

ISA Server does not support the following ISA restore scenarios:
  • Restoring a .bif file to the same rebuilt computer without restoring the system state first (this applies to the stand-alone version only).
  • Restoring a stand-alone .bif file to another computer.
  • Restoring an ISA Server array .bif file to another array.
  • Restoring any backup file to a different version (for example, stand-alone to Enterprise, or Enterprise to stand-alone).
For more information, see the "Backing Up and Restoring an Array Configuration" topic in the ISA Server Help.
