Retention action setting is not updated in FAI items by running the Set-RetentionPolicyTag cmdlet in an Exchange Server 2010 environment

Symptoms

When you try to update a retention policy tag of a folder-associated information (FAI) item by running the Set-RetentionPolicyTag cmdlet, the retention action setting is not updated.

Cause

This issue occurs because the ContentSettings part of the policy tag XML data is not updated when the Managed Folder Assistant tries to update and save the FAI item.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
