INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Improvement: This hotfix enables you to log the details of Offline Address Book (OAB) downloading process in (Event Trace Log) ETL file.
  • Improvement: This hotfix enables you to log the Outlook reminder in ETL file.
  • Assume that you set the desktop resolution to 150% or a larger value on a computer. When you open a calendar invite that includes a live meeting in Outlook 2013 on the computer, Outlook 2013 crashes.
  • Assume that you select the Bypass Proxy for local addresses check box in Internet Explorer. When you connect to an Office 365 mailbox in Outlook 2013, the connection takes longer than expected.
  • When you use keyboard in the pinned calendar peek in Outlook 2013, keyboard focuses on the first all-day item unexpectedly.
  • When you configure Outlook 2013 by using the POP3 protocol, you cannot publish Internet free/busy information.
  • When users are on different exchange forests, you cannot receive their free/busy data.
  • After you select a new search criterion and type something in Outlook 2013, pointer focuses on the main search box.
  • When you run an application that uses extended MAPI to connect to Exchange 2013, it takes a longer time to connect to an Exchange 2013 mailbox by using the personalized server name (for example, <guid>@contoso.com) than by using the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the Exchange Server.
  • When you create a custom form that contains an icon in Outlook 2013, the icon does not appear in the table view but as an empty area.
  • When you try to categorize items in a shared calendar in Outlook 2013, you receive the following error message:
    The operation failed. The messaging interfaces have returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.
  • When you select the Show user photographs when available check box in Outlook 2013, the sender of an email message is not updated as expected.
  • When you are connected through a virtual private network (VPN), you cannot synchronize Outlook 2013 data to SharePoint.
  • When you drag or drop a folder in the folder tree in Outlook 2013, the shading highlighted folder is so dark that you cannot see the solid line in the background nor see in which the folder is moved to.
  • You cannot hide the organizer name of meetings in calendar views in Outlook 2013.
  • When you synchronize specific email messages in Outlook 2013, Outlook 2013 crashes.
  • When you right-click an Outlook 2013 item Windows Explorer, the mailitem_read event appears in a message box.
  • Assume that you send a workbook as an email attachment in Excel. Then, you save the email message in Outlook 2013 when the email message appears. When you return to Excel, Excel crashes.
  • When you send an email message that contains an inline reply in Outlook 2013, the subject of the email message is not updated in the form region.
  • When you receive a non-delivery report (NDR) in Outlook 2013, the NDR does not display the custom body that you created previously but the auto generated content.
  • Assume that you override the default form for appointments by using a custom form in Outlook 2013. When you click the Reply with Meeting button for an item, you receive the following error message:
    The operation failed. The messaging interfaces have returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.
  • When you try to delete the profile in Outlook 2013 that has si-lk language pack installed, the Learn how to make a backup of the offline .ost file string is clipped in a dialog box.
  • When you add a user who has a certificate to contacts in Outlook 2013, Outlook 2013 crashes.
  • When you open the Sync Issues folder in Outlook 2013, you receive the following error message:
    Synchronization of some deletions failed.
  • When you move the pointer over a person's name or a contact card in an email message that is created by a mailto link in Outlook 2013, another compose email message appears.
  • When you hook into SyncObject events for an IMAP account in Outlook 2013, background synchronization stops working as expected.
  • Assume that you change the from account to an account that is included in a restricted distribution group in Outlook 2013. When you try to send an email message to the distribution group, you receive a MailTip that states that you do not have the permission to send an email message to the distribution group.
  • When you migrate to Office 365, email messages from an allowed list or domain still follow the regular junk email filters and some email messages are categorized as junk in Outlook 2013.
  • When you collapse My Calendars in Outlook 2013, Outlook 2013 crashes and you have to restart Outlook 2013.
  • When you rotate between portrait and landscape modes in Outlook 2013, the location of the default reading pane is displayed incorrectly.
  • Improvement: This hotfix improves the support for the MeetingResponse command that is used in Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) scenarios.
  • Improvement: This hotfix improves handling of recipient deletions on meetings request when you use EAS.
