Photos captured on certain devices with the Windows 8 Camera app may have a slightly green tint

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a PC that is running Windows 8.
  • You use the Windows 8 Camera app to capture a photo.
  • You view the captured image in Windows Photo Viewer, or another photo viewer application.

In this scenario, when you view the captured image, the image may have a slight greenish tint.

Cause

This is a known issue with the Windows 8 Store Camera App. The issue only occurs on certain devices.

This issue will be corrected in a future update to Windows 8.
