Symptoms

When a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Edge Transport server runs for several days, the Microsoft Edge Transport service (EdgeTransport.exe) consumes about 80 percent of CPU resources.

Cause

This issue occurs because a memory leak occurs on timer objects.
