Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • Direct Access is configured on a computer that is running Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012.
  • The Group Policy client service tries to apply a policy.
  • The Group Policy client service calls a gpupdate/refresh_policy remote procedure call (RPC).
In this scenario, the Svchost.exe process that hosts the Group Policy client service crashes.

Resolution

Hotfix information
