"0x000000AB" Stop error when you log off from a Windows Server 2012-based RDS server

Symptoms

When you try to log off a Remote Desktop Services (RDS) session on a Windows Server 2012-based RDS server, the following Stop error occurs on the server:
STOP: 0x000000AB
Note Not all "Stop 0x000000AB" errors are caused by this issue.

Resolution

Update information

To resolve this issue, install update rollup 2836988. For more information about how to obtain this update rollup package, click the following article number to go to the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

 This fix addresses a common source for "Stop 0x0000000AB" error for RDS servers.
